This unit has 100mm total stroke and 12mm power stroke, the balance of the stroke length excluding the power stroke is also refereed to as the fast approach stroke, a valve only brings the full power of the pressure intensifier into action once resistance is met. Effectively it approaches under pneumatic power the switches to pneumatically generated hydraulic power for the power part of the stroke. Very clever and compact piece of German engineering that removes the need for the hydraulic powerpack with motor pumps and control valves, required compressed air only.
A large capacity 5/2 pneumatic control valve is also included, all you need to do is supply compressed air and a 24V control signal to the solenoid valve, and you have a 15 Tonne press.
